The Key to Paradise

Patience is the key to paradise.

~ Turkish Proverb

I recently attended a retreat. Whilethe speaker was a kind and gentle soul, her lack of experience was evident. She spoke non-stop for hours on end. The reality is that most human brains lose interest after 45 minutes. We just are not programmed or made to sustain much longer than that without a break. So, everytime I had trouble paying attention, I got up, and quietly left to either nap, walk, or distract myself long enough to absorb what was being said. Sometimes, less is more. And, quiet helps our minds perform better.

Today’s Life Coach Action Plan: When in doubt or if you need to make a big decision, wait 24 hours, get quiet, and wait for that intuitive hunch (God) or inspiration. The answers or solutions are most apparent after time and quietness take hold. Breathe.
